Lupus Research Update:

Research Studies Presented at the ACR Annual Scientific Meeting

Program 4 - Management of Lupus

Understanding what causes lupus and why certain people are more likely to develop the disease may help doctors to better treat or prevent lupus. And researchers continue to improve the quality of life for people living with lupus through better management of the disease. Julie Venners highlights data presented on the following topics: flu vaccinations in lupus, antiphospholipid syndrome, serologically active clinically quiescent periods in lupus (SACQ), long-term effects of treatment, and updates to instruments used to diagnose and monitor lupus.
