Program 3 - Kidney and Heart Complications of Lupus

 

As many as 40 percent of all people with lupus, and as many as two-thirds of all children with lupus, will develop kidney complications. And heart disease is now a leading cause of death among people with lupus. A number of studies presented during the 2009 American College of Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting were about these serious and life-threatening complications of lupus.
