Meet Our President and CEO - Norma Cole - Meadows
Norma Cole-Meadows is an honors graduate from the University of Memphis with a BPS in Human Services. Additionally, she attended Memphis Theological Seminary. She has served as the President and CEO of the Lupus Foundation of America, Memphis Area Chapter, Inc. since 2012. Formerly, she was a Chaplain Resident at Methodist University Hospital and a Chaplain PRN with the Methodist/LeBonheur Health Care System. She has taught in the Memphis City School system, and was the first African-American female in the nation to own a Nationwide Insurance Agency franchise. Currently, she is a member of the Ministerial Staff at New Sardis Baptist Church under the Leadership of Dr. LaSimba Gray Jr. Formerly, she was a Licensed Evangelist at Temple of Deliverence Church of God In Christ under Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson and Superintendent Milton R. Hawkins. She is a Ordained Minister under Bishop William M. Young and the Full Gospel Baptist Denomination. She enjoys traveling, being with her family, and serving her community.
Meet Our Secretary - Angela E. Simelton
Angela E. Simelton graduated from Concord Career College and is a National Medical Certified Office Assistant. She relocated to Memphis, TN from Dallas, TX and has been with the Lupus Foundation of America, Memphis Chapter, Inc. since July 2013. She hopes to one day return back to Dallas, TX to pursue a career in medical insurance. She enjoys watching television and movies, writing, and supporting lupus survivors all over the world.
Meet Our Public Relations Coordinator - Sharnae L. Smith
Sharnae Smith is a graduate from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a B.A. in Sociology. She received her Master's degree in Criminal Justice Administration, and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Non-Profit Management. She has worked for the Lupus Foundation of America, Memphis Area Chapter, Inc. since 2013 as the Public Relations Coordinator. She has experience working in management for the non-profit sector, and has a background in recruiting and training volunteers, and gathering data for grant writing purposes. She plans to one day open a foundation in Memphis, TN dedicated to financially supporting lupus survivors and their families. She enjoys reading, meeting lupus survivors, and eating french fries.
