San Antonio Walk to End Lupus Now
Did you know that every 30 seconds someone is diagnosed with lupus?
Lupus is one of the cruelest, most mysterious diseases on earth—an unpredictable and misunderstood autoimmune disease that ravages different parts of the body. It is difficult to diagnose, hard to live with, and a challenge to treat.
The Lupus Foundation of America, Lone Star Chapter will host its Inaugural Walk to End Lupus Now™ on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Brooks City-Base in San Antonio, TX. Our hope in hosting this event is to bring awareness to this disease by reaching those who have been affected and giving them a day in which the community they live in is walking with them in this battle to end Lupus. Our event will attract 750-1000 participants and your involvement will assist in making the event hugely successful.
Proceeds from the Walk to End Lupus Now™ will benefit local programs and services available to people living with lupus in our community. We provide the most accurate up-to-date information on lupus, support individuals through education, local support groups, local resources, and fund lupus research.
Registration is required.
