The Power of Sharing Your Personal Story

A personal story is powerful – to those who tell it and to those who hear it. The Lupus Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life for all people affected by lupus through programs of research, education, and advocacy. However, our programs would not be possible without the power of lupus activists  who work tirelessly to make their stories heard.

Developing lupus can be a life alternating experience. The following stories are about people who have grabbed that lemon and squeezed it into lemonade. These are people whose lives were changed by lupus but they turned that change into positive energy and are now pursuing other goals and ambitions. We feature individuals who have overcome great obstacles in their lives. Their stories provide insight into ways others can meet challenges and thrive despite dealing with the daily struggles of lupus.

Sharing your story and engaging in advocacy is powerful and empowering. Remember: just one story can and does make the difference. Email us your story at info@lupusmo.org.
