Lupus is more pervasive and more severe than people think, and has an impact that the public doesn't realize.  A recent survey found that a majority of Americans have never heard of lupus or know little or nothing about lupus beyond its name.

In the face of widespread confusion over one of the most serious and baffling diseases, we must dial up the intensity of our messages.  Extensive research with people with lupus, their families, physicians and scientists, and others revealed a common theme: lupus is a cruel and mysterious disease.

This college forum was created in an effort to educate our young adults about this disease. Medical experts, peers and more will discuss, interpret, and deliver pertinent information to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of lupus on college campuses in Atlanta. For more information please forward questions to Teri Emond at temond@lfaga.org  or call 770-333-5930.
