Wisconsin Teen Living with Lupus Featured on ABC’s Everyday Health

Wisconsin teen, fifteen year-old Halee Newby, who has lupus, and her family will be profiled as an Everyday Health Hero in an upcoming episode of ABC’s Everyday Health on Saturday, February 25 (check your local listings). Halee and her family are long-time supporters of the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) and its Wisconsin Chapter.

During the episode you will follow the Newby’s as they help to raise lupus awareness and funds for lupus research through a volleyball tournament. Halee also meets Taylor Kassel, a fourteen year-old from Illinois living with lupus. Taylor and her family are supporters of the LFA and its Illinois Chapter.

The LFA thanks Halee and the entire Newby family for all they have done to support the Lupus Foundation of America and people with lupus. Halee’s efforts and her courage to share her story helps raise awareness and educates the public about what it’s like to live with this disease.
