Mayor Bloomberg Praises Lupus Foundation of America for Raising Awareness, Advancing Research

Mayor Michael Bloomberg sent his congratulations to honorees at the Lupus Foundation of America’s 2012 Butterfly Gala held in New York City October 18, and applauded the Foundation for the important role it plays in improving the lives of people with lupus.

In a letter to the Lupus Foundation of America, Mayor Bloomberg wrote: “Since its inception, the Foundation has been a valuable resource for those living with lupus, and by funding research initiatives, increasing public awareness, and providing a variety of support services, this organization has helped thousands of individuals with this debilitating condition. We applaud LFA for its tremendous accomplishments, and together, we look forward to even greater advancements in the search for a cure and to building a brighter, healthier future for all our residents.”
