Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can affect almost any part of your body, most often your joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood, or brain. Heart disease is a major complication of lupus. It is now a leading cause of death among people with lupus. Learn about warning signs, treatment options, and what you can do to keep your heart healthy.
Topic 2: Lupus and Exercise
Presenter: Michele Hardee, PTA, Physical Therapy for Women
Just like everyone else, people with lupus need to exercise regularly or engage in some kind of movement, and most people with lupus can take part in some form of activity. Learn about the many benefits of exercise and how to modify movements from a Licensed Physical Therapist.
Must register by Wednesday, June 18th.
There is no charge to attend the seminar.
