Given the vital importance of clinical research in advancing understanding of the causes and cure for lupus, our chapter is excited to have a table at Aware for All: Seattle Clinical Research Education Day.

Clinical trials have long been a source of groundbreaking drug developments, assistance for patients and a small source of additional income for many. Aware for All is an educational session outlining the process, benefits and options for participation in a variety of clinical trials. The evening has free health screenings, as well as information booths from local healthcare professionals and community organizations. Connect with local doctors and patients to learn how you can engage with clinical trials locally. Information will be on display beginning at 5 p.m., followed by a panel discussion of clinical trials at 6 p.m. There will be free food and giveaways; this event is free, but registration is encouraged.

Presented by: The Center for Information & Study on Clinical Research Participation, Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason, Clinical Research Assist, University of Washington AIDS Clinical Trial Unit, Institute of Translational Health Sciences, Seattle Children's Hospital, Research Match, Swedish Medical Center - First Hill Campus, the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research, University of Washington, and WIRB.

Tickets: Free, registration encouraged.

Doors open: 5 p.m.
