May 2014 is Officially Lupus Awareness Month in CT!

FARMINGTON, CT – On Wednesday, May 7, Governor Dannel P. Malloy officially proclaimed May 2014 to be Lupus Awareness Month in the State of Connecticut as part of the Lupus Foundation of America, Connecticut Chapter’s Advocacy Day at the State Capitol.

“Tens of thousands of residents in the State of Connecticut are affected by Lupus; and the Connecticut Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America supports research, education and community service programs to raise awareness about Lupus,” Governor Malloy states in the proclamation.

“We are extremely grateful for the immense amount of legislative support we received during our visit to the Capitol,” said Corrianne Gagliardi, Director of Development & Communications, “it was such an inspiration to see the camaraderie shown by the Connecticut legislatures to advocate for lupus.”
