LFACT regrets to announce the passing of Marilyn Sousa

The Lupus Foundation of America, Connecticut Chapter is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our Founder & First President, Marilyn Sousa.

She has done more for lupus patients than just about anyone else in the world, forming what is now known as the Lupus Foundation of America back in 1973. Her impact on the lives of everyone living with lupus was immense, and will carry on forever.

We will continue to do everything we can to carry forth her fight for advocacy for all those suffering from the cruel mystery that is lupus, and one day WE WILL FIND A CURE!

More information will come in the following days regarding services for Marilyn. In the meantime, please feel free to visit our Facebook page and leave any messages or photos you want to share.

Rest in peace Marilyn Sousa. Your legacy will live on forever.
