Lupus Featured in 2013 Google Zeitgeist

by Sophie Yan, Online Communications Manager

It's no surprise that lupus was featured on the Google Zeitgest list, not once, but three times in 2013. Lupus is one of the world's most mysterious diseases, with no known cause and no known cure, and people are now becoming aware of how pervasive and impactful it can be. Google Zeitgest, released annually, examines the top searched trends and terms across the globe. This year, lupus was one of the top search terms within “health issues” and “symptoms” and “What is lupus?” was one of the top searched “what is…” questions. See below for a full list within the three categories.

The Lupus Foundation of America has met a growing demand for expert information on lupus with more than 5 million visits annually. With the help of lupus experts and supporters like you, we continue to be the most trusted source for lupus information on the Internet. Educate your friends and family about lupus this holiday season by sharing our website at Help Us Solve the Cruel Mystery™.
