National Lupus Advocacy Summit
Make your voice heard by joining the hundreds of lupus activists from across the country on Capitol Hill to tell your story. Together, we can take lupus from a whisper to a shout and increase funding for lupus research and education programs.
June 15 & 16, 2015
Day 1: Training – The first day is devoted to training. Each participant receives an orientation on basic advocacy principles as well as a thorough review of the Foundation’s current legislative priorities. The training also includes panel discussions featuring distinguished lupus clinicians and researchers and notable government officials.
Day 2: Meetings with Elected Officials – On the second day, activists go to Capitol Hill to meet with their Members of Congress and staff to discuss our legislative priorities including urging Congress to support funding for lupus research.
